Murray is Deputy Chair of the Bank and also Chair of the Risk Committee. He is Chair of the Open Polytechnic of NZ and of Central TAS, and a director of NorthTec. Previously Murray has filled the roles of Head of Finance and Head of Banking for Trust Bank NZ, Assistant Governor of the RBNZ, Chief Operating Officer for ACC and CEO of the Ministry of Science and Innovation and of the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology. Murray holds a M Com (Hons) in Economics and a BSc from the University of Canterbury.

Anne is a banker by professional background, having had earlier careers in journalism and diplomacy. Her areas of particular expertise and interest in governance are capital markets and remuneration and HR practice. She is a director of businesses across the capital markets spectrum including venture investment, funds management, life insurance, and banking. Anne has chaired a number of Boards, Board Audit and Risk and Board Remuneration Committees. She is also a member on the Board of Fisher Funds. Complementing her capital markets focus is a portfolio of businesses in the infrastructure and built environment sectors.

Natalie Pearce spent her formative years in Marlborough, followed by a Commerce degree at Canterbury University in Christchurch. She started her career in the financial services industry before moving to Vodafone New Zealand. Natalie has held a number of governance roles including the Vodafone Foundation and Boosted. Today, Natalie is the founder and director of Home of the Brave, a boutique brand consultancy.

Harvey is the current Chair of the Toi Foundation, the bank’s shareholder. He is also Chair of TSB Group Limited. Raised on a South Taranaki farm, Harvey then completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Commerce at Lincoln University. He then returned to his home region to commence a career as a specialist Rural Bank Manager. More recently he has been involved in successful investment and property developments in the Taranaki region, most recently the restoration and redevelopment of the White Hart, a heritage property located in New Plymouth’s Central Business District.

Dion (Ngāti Mutunga, Ngāti Tama, Taranaki Tuturu) is the Pouwhakahaere/Chief Executive of Taranaki’s largest iwi organisation Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa. Prior to this, Dion headed up Te Ohu Kaimoana, the Māori Fisheries Trust. Dion has extensive experience in working with Māori businesses and post Treaty-settlement governance entities. He is a Director of Wellington-based lobster export company Koura Inc General Partner Ltd and Taranaki’s largest land owner Parininihi ki Waitotara Incorporation.

Following a long career in the banking industry in both New Zealand and Australia, Peter serves as a Councillor on the Stratford District Council, is Chair of the Stratford Business Association and is a Trustee of the Toi Foundation as well as on the Board of Tutaki Youth Trust. He holds a MBA from University of Auckland, post graduate diplomas in Business Studies and Banking and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors. With his wife Margaret he owns and operates Dolly’s Milk in Stratford where he resides on a small farm block.

Kevin has worked in the Global Financial Services industry for 40 years with most of his career in Risk Management. He has spent the last 15 years working at executive level as Chief Risk Officer at Royal Bank of Scotland and ASB, running substantial group and divisional businesses. Prior to that he held senior roles at Barclays Bank and the UK Financial Services Authority (UK Banking Regulator). Most recently, Kevin has been a Consultant and Board Advisor. 

Mike is director and Chair of the Audit Committee and has an extensive history working in governance and executive roles across professional services, health, primary industries, and technology sectors. Former partner of  professional services firm PwC and CEO of law firm MinterEllisonRuddWatts, he is also currently director and Audit Committee Chair of Silver Fern Farms Limited, director and Audit Committee Chair of ProCare and Homecare Medical (Healthline), and chair of technology company MiMoMax Wireless Limited.
