Balance transfers

A balance transfer enables you to consolidate outstanding balances on other bank credit cards and store cards to one easy to manage card. The interest rate is only 0% on the transferred balance for the first six months. When the 0% p.a. special offer ends in six months, the standard rate of 18.50% applies.

Visa payWave

Need to make a quick payment? Anything under $200 won’t require a PIN when you use Visa payWave - just wave and go. If you do spend over $200 you may be prompted to enter your PIN by the merchant2.


How it works
  • Look for the Visa payWave symbol in participating stores

  • Check the amount displayed on the terminal is correct & wave your card in front of the terminal. If a PIN is required, you’ll be prompted to enter that

  • Listen for the terminal to beep and give the green light, then check your transaction has been approved

  • That’s it, your transaction is complete





Braille on our cards

Dispute a transaction

If you find a transaction on your TSB Visa Credit card statement or TSB Visa Debit account that you don’t believe you made, you can dispute it - you have up to 60 days from the transaction date to submit your dispute.

    1. If you use your Visa Classic Credit card overseas, you’ll be charged an Overseas Service Fee.    

    2. This is a temporary increase from the previous $80 limit prompt for PIN, due to COVID-19, to allow our customers to complete in-store transactions quickly and safely. Limit may revert back to $80.
