You're covered from the date you buy your travel policy, so if you have to cancel or change your trip because of an unexpected event, you’ll be covered.
You can also adapt your policy with additional cover options to suit. If you add our Excess Waiver option to your policy, you won’t have to pay excess on any claims you make. Extra cover is also available for valuables such as laptops, cameras, watches and jewellery.
If you are travelling for an extended period you can even purchase cover for up to 365 days. Just let us know before you leave

Cover excludes travel to countries or destinations with a travel advisory rating of ‘Do not travel’ issued by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. You can find a list of these countries and destinations on the Safe Travel website.
Occasionally there will be travel advisories related to current events, and cover will exclude countries or destinations in these travel advisories. You can check if there are any new travel advisories here.

1. Cover excludes countries or destinations with a travel advisory rating of ‘Do not travel’ by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
2. Policy covers up to nine dependent children up to the age of 20 years and in full time education. They must also be accompanied by an insured adult when travelling.
