We love local — it’s Taranaki’s people, places and businesses that make this an amazing place to live, work and play. We’re proud of our region and we’ve always supported great local initiatives that bring us together — from big events like TSB Festival of Lights and WOMAD, to supporting our community via our dividend to our shareholder TOI Foundation. As locals ourselves, we were gutted so many of our awesome Taranaki events were cancelled over summer. We know heaps of locals were counting on these events to give their businesses a boost after lockdowns.  

Investing in and supporting our community is something we’ve always done and something we’ll always keep doing. That’s why we’re taking the $250,000 we had earmarked to support those iconic events and channelling it back into Taranaki with TSB LOVE LOCAL.

It's easy to LOVE LOCAL, just follow these steps

  1. Look for the TSB LOVE LOCAL badge at your favourite local shops and spots (or check out the 100 plus awesome local cafes, bars and retailers taking part below). 
  2. Spend $10 or more using your TSB Debit Mastercard – TSB will credit your account with $5 back! (Valid up to 10 times at participating retailers. Max. of $50 per customer. T&Cs apply). 
  3. Enjoy your purchase with the added warm glow of knowing you’re supporting amazing local Taranaki businesses who need our help.

Love Local FAQs

Each TSB Debit Mastercard card holder from 1 May to 11 June 2022 can participate in TSB LOVE LOCAL up to 10 times up to a maximum of $50 per customer. 

Sorry, no. $5 will be credited back to your account for each transaction you make over $10 on your TSB Debit Mastercard at participating businesses (up to a total of 10 transactions across any number of businesses). 

Nothing. TSB will credit your account with $5 when you spend $10 or more at a participating TSB LOVE LOCAL business. This will show on your statement as 'Thanks for supporting TSB LOVE LOCAL’.

Yes absolutely!

The TSB LOVE LOCAL promotion is only open to TSB Debit Mastercard card holders however if you are not a TSB customer and want to join us, go HERE, or if you’re already a customer, you can apply for a TSB Debit Mastercard by visiting us in-branch or calling us on 0800 872 226.
