If you’re having problems meeting your repayment obligations to us or you think you may experience difficulty doing so in the near future, it’s important to let us know as soon as possible.
You can make an Unforeseen Hardship Application for financial assistance if you’ve experienced an unforeseen life event such as:
- illness
- injury
- loss of employment
- the end of a relationship
- or other reasonable cause
How can we help?
You may request that your lending is changed in one of the following ways:
- Extend the term of your loan, which will reduce the amount of your regular payments
- Postponing payments for a specified period
- Both of the above options together
We have a specialist team who will take the time to understand the changes you need.
How do you apply?
You can apply for Unforeseen Hardship by:
- Downloading an application form and returning it to us, either via email or at your local TSB Bank
- Picking up a copy of the application form from your local TSB Bank.
You’ll need to let us know the cause of your hardship, why you can’t meet your responsibilities and how this assistance will help you.
Other Assistance
If you haven’t experienced an unforeseen hardship event but are finding it difficult to meet your repayment obligations, we may still be able to help.
Contact us as soon as possible and before you default on any repayments, so we can assess your situation and how we can help. If you leave it too long it can be harder for us to help.
