TSB is offering customers impacted by the recent extreme weather in Whangārei and the Far North a range of financial support options available to help ease immediate pressure. 

Customers facing hardship due to the flooding and severe weather conditions, can apply for tailored financial assistance including short-term financial relief and flexible loan options. 

TSB General Manager Customer Delivery, Penny Burgess, says the bank’s focus is on supporting customers through what is likely a stressful and uncertain time. 

"Our hearts are with everyone impacted by the severe weather in Northland. We know events like this can put a real strain on households and businesses, and we’re here to support our customers in whatever way we can." 

"If you’ve been financially impacted, please get in touch with us as soon as you can. The sooner we understand your situation, the sooner we can work alongside you to find the right support." 

Support available for affected home loan customers in impacted areas includes: 

  • Short term top-ups of up to $10,000, with a manageable loan term 
  • Temporary overdrafts of up to $10,000 for up to 12 months 

Customers who have been affected recently are encouraged to contact TSB’s Customer Engagement Centre on 0800 872 226, available 8am–6pm weekdays and 9am–5pm weekends, or send a secure message through the TSB mobile app or online banking at any time.
