Get the most out of your online banking experience. Have the freedom and security to move money between accounts, make payments and check your balances all from your tablet or computer.

What you need to set up Online Banking


You'll need 

  1. Your individual TSB Customer ID. This is a 6-digit number that can be found on the back of your personal TSB Debit card
    1. If you can't find your Customer ID, you can text the letters CID along with your date of birth DD/MM/YYYY to 3173 and we'll send your customer number
    2. If your mobile number isn't registered with us, please call us on 0800 872 226
  2. Your email address. This must be the email address registered against your individual profile with TSB. If your email address isn't registered with us or needs to be updated, you can call us on 0800 872 226 or visit your nearest branch
  3. Your mobile. This must be the mobile number registered against your individual profile with TSB. If your mobile number isn't registered with us, please call us on 0800 872 226
  4. Your TSB security token if you have one

Please note: If you don't have a mobile number registered or a token, you will still be able to register.

 

How to register online

Registering for Online Banking has never been easier. You can set yourself up from a desktop, mobile or tablet, just follow the steps below. 

 

  1. Visit online.tsb.co.nz
  2. Click Register 
  3. Enter your Customer ID and registered email address to begin the process 
  4. Click Next
  5. Check your email for the verification code and enter it on the screen
    1. If you don't receive an email from us, you can click Generate a new code
    2. If you have a registered mobile with us, we'll send you an authentication code, once received enter it on the screen and click Done
    3. If you have a hard token registered with us, we'll ask you to complete Authentication by entering the number shown on the screen of your token
  6. Set your password
    1. It must be a minimum of 8 characters and a maximum of 45 characters (all characters from the English keyboard)
  7. Registration completed. You can now log in using your Customer ID and password
  8. When you first log in, we'll ask you to acknowledge and accept our Terms & Conditions

How to find your Customer ID

Your Customer ID is a 6-digit number that can be found on the back bottom right corner of your personal TSB Debit card. It's in black so may be a little hard to read, shining some light on it may help if you're in a dim/dark room.
