TSB has been named Canstar’s 2026 Bank of the Year for Credit Cards, marking the fourth consecutive year the bank has received the national award.

Alongside the Bank of the Year – Credit Cards title, TSB’s Low Rate Mastercard was recognised with Canstar’s Outstanding Value Low Rate Credit Card Award for the fourth consecutive year from 2023 to 2026. TSB also received the 2026 Outstanding Value Rewards Credit Card Award for its Platinum Mastercard.

These awards reflect TSB’s focus on providing competitive credit card options and strong customer support for New Zealanders.

The Canstar Bank of the Year Credit Cards Award assesses product value, features and customer satisfaction across the New Zealand banking market.

Canstar’s research found TSB led the field in both low rate and rewards credit cards, with positive feedback from more than 3,000 credit card users on areas including customer service, fees, and online banking.

Canstar highlighted TSB’s Low Rate Mastercard as offering the lowest purchase interest rate in the New Zealand market at 11.95% p.a., alongside features including Apple Pay and Google Pay.

The award also acknowledged TSB’s Platinum Mastercard competitive cashback of $1 for every $100 spent on eligible purchases.

TSB’s General Manager - Product and Marketing, Nick Herbert, says the recognition reflects TSB’s focus on helping customers stay in control of their money.

“We know many New Zealanders are thinking carefully about how they spend and borrow right now. Having a credit card with a lower interest rate can make a real difference, especially for people who want more flexibility managing everyday costs.

“This award recognises our commitment to offering simple, competitive products that work for real people and real life.”
